To further advance domestic waste classification and advocate a green, low-carbon, and environmentally friendly lifestyle, the Ninghai County Sanitation Guidance Center, in conjunction with Jinqiao Community of Taoyuan Sub-district, co-hosted the National Waste Classification Day event themed "Strengthen Resource Recycling, and Engage the Whole People in Practicing the New Trend of Low-Carbon Living" on December 18th.
The event site was filled with a lively atmosphere and featured rich content. By setting up promotional display boards, distributing waste classification guide brochures, and providing on-site explanations, staff and community volunteers elaborated on the importance of waste classification, the four-category standard (recyclables, kitchen waste, hazardous waste, and other waste), and correct disposal methods in detail to community residents. They also patiently addressed common questions and confusion encountered by residents in daily waste sorting.
To enhance the event's fun and participation, interactive waste classification games, knowledge quizzes with prizes, and other sessions were arranged. Residents participated enthusiastically, consolidating their knowledge of waste classification and improving sorting accuracy in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Many parents who brought their children to the event stated that such activities are both interesting and educational, helping children establish waste sorting awareness from an early age.
A relevant person in charge of the Ninghai County Sanitation Guidance Center said that holding regular National Action Day events aims to continuously foster a sound atmosphere of whole-society participation in waste classification, making the concept of "green, low-carbon, and environmental protection" more deeply rooted in people's minds. It is hoped that through sustained publicity, guidance, and practical activities, the rate of residents forming waste sorting habits and the accuracy of waste disposal will be gradually improved, contributing to the improvement of the community's living environment and the construction of a beautiful Ninghai.
