As the competent department for the renewable resources recycling industry, the Ministry of Commerce has continuously advanced the construction of the recycling system in recent years by improving network layout, strengthening policy support, and carrying out pilot cultivation. In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will focus on supporting the construction of green, intelligent, and professional sorting centers to drive the high-quality development of the industry.

First, strengthen work deployment. The Ministry of Commerce, together with relevant departments, has issued the "Notice on Improving the Recycling System for Renewable Resources such as Waste Home Appliances and Furniture" and supporting documents, clarifying key tasks around improving the recycling network layout, cultivating large-scale recycling entities, and promoting the "integration of the two networks" (domestic waste sorting and renewable resources recycling).

Second, increase policy support. Through funding channels such as the construction of a modern commercial circulation system and a county-level commercial system, support the construction of renewable resources sorting centers and mobile recycling projects of "using vehicles as warehouses".

Third, promote pilot demonstrations. The Ministry of Commerce, together with relevant departments, has identified 32 pilot cities and 78 pilot enterprises for the construction of the renewable resources recycling system, encouraging the development of innovative models such as "Internet + recycling" and "integration of the two networks" to play a demonstration and leading role.

Li Jialu pointed out that sorting centers are the core downstream link of the renewable resources recycling system. Their transformation and upgrading help improve sorting efficiency, reduce resource loss, and drive the overall operational level of transfer and packaging stations and recycling outlets. In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will focus on supporting the construction of green, intelligent, and professional sorting centers, encouraging local governments to provide policy guarantees, and guiding more renewable resources to standardized sorting centers. At the same time, it will promote local authorities to clarify recycling models, consolidate territorial responsibilities, make good use of financial funds, further improve the recycling network, and make positive contributions to promoting resource recycling and cultivating green consumption.
